Common PayPal problems and how to fix them

Account limited or frozen

Open the Resolution Center and complete every requested step (ID, address, invoices). Limitations lift once verification clears — call the number above if it stalls.

Unauthorized transaction

Report it in the Resolution Center within 60 days and change your password. PayPal will never call to ask for your password or a code.

Dispute or chargeback

Open a dispute under Activity → the transaction → Report a problem; escalate to a claim if the seller doesn't respond in 20 days.

Can't withdraw to bank

Confirm your bank is confirmed and the name matches. New links and large balances can face a short hold before transfer.

Verify identity

Upload a clear government ID and proof of address in Settings; verification raises sending/withdrawal limits.
