Common Spotify problems and how to fix them
Premium billing question
Check Account → Order history on spotify.com. If you're billed twice, you likely have two accounts — log the emails you used and contact support via chat to consolidate.
Account hacked or recovery
Use spotify.com/password-reset immediately, then sign out of all devices from Account → Security. If you can't get in, use the 'I can't reset my password' support form.
Payment failed / can't renew
Update your card under Account → Manage your plan. Failed renewals often come from an expired card or a bank block on recurring charges.
Cancel subscription
Account → Available plans → Cancel Premium. You revert to Free at the end of the paid period; downloads stop but your playlists stay.
Playback or app crashes
Log out, clear the app cache, and reinstall. Offline downloads need the app to go online at least once every 30 days.
